Easy Cheesy Hake

Kobus Jacobs, South Africa

Ingredients

500 g frozen Hake portions (DEFROSTED)
30 ml lemon juice
5 ml dried mixed herbs
250 ml grated cheddar cheese
1 sliced tomato
salt and pepper to taste


Cut fish portions in half and arrange in a shallow dish.

Sprinkle with lemon juice and herbs.

Cover and microwave on 100% power for 5 minutes (Remember microwave cooking time may vary).

Drain off excess juices.

Sprinkle half of the grated cheese over the fish and top with tomato slices.

Cover with wax paper and microwave on 100% power, 3 to 5 minutes or until fish is cooked through and flakes easily.

Season to taste and sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese on top. Cover and allow to stand for 3 minutes before serving.
