Cheese and Pasta in a Pot

Mudge Hawkinson, St. Paul, Minnesota

Ingredients

2 lbs. ground beef
32 oz. Ragu Spaghetti sauce
1 med. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 large can tomatoes
1 can sliced mushrooms
1 pt. sour cream
20 oz. Iarge shell macaroni
1/2 lb. sliced provolone cheese from bulk pkg.
1/2 lb. sliced mozzarella cheese from bulk pkg.


Brown ground beef, onion, and garlic.

Add spaghetti sauce, tomatoes, mushrooms, and simmer together a bit.

Cook macaroni; drain and rinse.

Put 1/2 macaroni in 2 large casseroles; cover with half of meat mix, half of sour cream and the sliced provolone.

Repeat process, and top with mozzarella.

Cover and bake 45 minutes, then uncover and brown lightly.

Good - Great for a large group.
